My 4th longboard session in 5 days :) The offshore wind was forecast to drop during the day so I was at The Dip early and rigged big again, the wind was no way near as strong as yesterday afternoon and after struggling off the beach and heading over to Bawdsey bay but the wind was light so I headed along Felixstowe seafront about half a mile offshore. I reached the shipping channel by the docks and hoped the wind would be better here as it usually funnels out of the River Orwell but sadly it was much stronger here:( but I decided to head across as no ships were coming and sailed over to the beach way past Dovercourt, landing to collect Mag a souvenir from Essex - a shell! The beat back was ok, I even managed to get in the straps a few times and I was racing a couple of yachts which I managed to overtake just before The Ferry :) It would have been a top session if the sun had been out and the wind a few knots more !!!
